Lighthouse Property Management
As we previously announced, your Association Board of Directors elected to make a change in the management structure of the Master Association. We are pleased to introduce Lighthouse Property Management, Inc. They are a local family owned firm, based in Sarasota County since 1991. The combined Lighthouse staff is over 160 employees.
Our onsite office personnel remain your first point of contact for conducting Master Association business: Lisa Benedetto, Onsite Assistant Manager and Michelle Wells-Cotton, Administrative Assistant. The contract with Lighthouse was effective June 1. Lighthouse has an answering service for emergencies after business hours, weekends and holidays that can be reached by calling either the Lighthouse office number (941) 460-5560 or the Master Association number (941) 496-8482. When you call, the operator will ask for your contact information and the details of the emergency so that your call will be returned. Make sure to give the answering service the name of our community, Venice Golf and Country Club.
Sarasota County Information
The Venice Golf and Country Club is located within the geographical boundaries of Sarasota County. Although we have a Venice, FL mailing address, our community is not within the city limits of Venice; therefore, our local governing body is the Board of County Commissioners.

Pond Bank Management
To maintain the health of our 27 community ponds, a Pond Management Plan has been adopted based on The Nine Florida-Friendly Landscaping Principles: Right Plant, Right Place; Water Efficiently; Fertilize Appropriately; Mulch; Attract Wildlife; Manage Yard Pests Responsibly; Recycle; Manage Storm Water Runoff; and Protect the Waterfront.
To further assist pond bank stabilization, we have instituted a 3' Low Mow Policy that will reduce the impact of heavy lawn equipment, one of the biggest causes of erosion. To view the policy, click here:
