Community Access & Safety
The speed limit is 25 mph!
Should an emergency occur in your house or your neighborhood, call 911!
If you have an alarm system, we recommend you use it at all times even if you are just going out for a few minutes. And please be watchful of your neighbors' property. Motion detector lighting is advised.
In our continuing efforts to enhance the guardhouse service for our community, we are reminding all homeowners that it is necessary to advise the guardhouse of expected visitors/vendors by:
Utilizing our automated GateAccess system (click here to login);
Calling 941-492-4505 and following the prompts.
If your visitor is already on your permanent list, there is no need to call. If your visitor is NOT on your permanent list and you have not authorized entry, the guard will make one phone call to your home. If you do not answer your phone, your visitor will be turned away with the suggestion that he/she try to reach you by cell phone or by other phone outside our community. The phone at the guardhouse is not to be used by visitors.
Note: Contractors and service personnel will only be admitted Monday through Saturday during the hours of 7AM to 6PM unless it is an emergency, such as a plumbing leak.
Please remember, we all need to cooperate and be responsible in advising the guardhouse of expected visitors. Update your permanent list through GateAccess or download and submit the Gate Entry Form.
All gates now have the new transponder readers installed. We are still experiencing some minor issues but actively working on them. Please be patient and approach the gates slowly.
If you have not yet had your new transponder installed, please fill out the Transponder Form and bring it to the guardhouse any day after 4 p.m. with your payment of $20 (cash or check made out to VGCC Master Association). To ensure the transponder will affix, your headlights should be cleaned using a solution of 50% water and 50% isopropyl alcohol. Cleaning materials are available at the guardhouse for your convenience.
